Monday 18th May
This week in literacy we will be doing some grammar revision. Today we will be focusing on noun phrases. In Year 2, our noun phrases normally use two adjectives separated by a comma to describe a noun. See the examples below:
The muddy, blue car (the car is the noun and muddy and blue are the adjectives that describe the car).
The delicious, creamy chocolate (the chocolate is the noun and delicious and creamy describe the chocolate).
Look at the powerpoint presentation in the resources below and have a go at some of the activities on the slides.
Click on the Phonics Play link below and select Phase 5 from the tab on the left of the screen. Choose same games you would like to play.
Today you will learn how to write multiplication sentences using the multiplication (×) symbol and how it relates to repeated addition.
This lesson includes:
- two videos
Practise these joins. Remember to make ascenders tall and descenders go under the line. Use the lines in your work book to help you to make them the correct sizes. All of these joins are horizontal which means they go across to the right, and the letters start by going anticlockwise, that means around in a circle, starting at the top like a letter 'c'.
