Remote Home Learning

Remote Learning Update January 2021

As of Tuesday 5th January there is a National Lockdown and all schools in the UK are now CLOSED to children except those of Critical Workers and Vulnerable children.  Remote learning will commence on Wednesday 6th January.  Please read the important documents found at the bottom of this page:

  • Remote Learning Contingency Jan 2021
  • Remote education provision information for parents
  • How to use the school website to access home learning KS1 and Reception
  • Google Parent Classroom Guide KS2

Remote Education Contingency Plan for outbreaks

If individual children are self-isolating they will be able to access home learning via the school website, they will be directed to complete Oak National Academy Learning activities, specific for their year group. They will also complete Bug club, Times Table Rockstars and Grammar Bug. Paper home learning packs will be available from the school office on request.

If outbreaks occur, there may be a few children who need to self-isolate, a class or the whole school.  If classes are required to learn from home for a short time, home learning will be put on the school website as it had been previously.  These actions aim to ensure that we have immediate, high-quality remote education for those that can not attend school due to COVID 19.  Learning will be meaningful and ambitious and cover our curriculum that would have been being taught in school.  Home learning will be planned in line with the school curriculum to be well-sequenced with frequent, clear explanations of new content within the Notebooks/Presentations provided.  Home learning may have links in to Oak National Academy videos.
