Did you know that David Walliams reads a chapter of one of his books at 11am every morning? As well as reading your own book, how about tuning in to listen to David this morning: https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses/
This week you have been reading The Night Shimmy. Watch it again using the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7ypmw-0JU0. Retell the story to someone in your family.
What was the boy’s name?
How do you think he was feeling?
Why was he so sad?
Why is the Night Shimmy not a full person?
Is the Night Shimmy real or fake?
Create a story board for the different parts of the story. There is an example in the resource and a blank one you can either copy or print.
Write the letters in the alphabet down the margin in your book. In your best handwriting write an animal name to go with each letter.
eg: A is for alligator
B is for baboon
C is for cheetah
Today we are thinking about how life might be the same of different from Kenya children. Watch the powerpoint and then write three things that you think would be the same and three things that would be different.
