Listen to the story Sharing a Shell by Julia Donaldson being read aloud by clicking on the link below.

Today you are going to complete a book review for this story. Answer the questions below.

Who are the characters in the story?

What is their favourite part of the story? Why?

Where is the story set?

How does the story end?

How many stars would you give this book?

You can use the template below that is also saved at the bottom of this page or write your answers directly into your home learning book. Remember your capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.

Mental maths:

In school we follow white rose maths and there are videos each day that you will be able to access at home.

Watch the video on the website and then complete the activities. Make sure you watch the correct video each day. Today you need to click on the count in 5s video. The questions and answers are saved at the bottom of this page. If you can't print out the sheet draw the things you need into your home learning book.

If the activities are too difficult just do the questions that you can and I will provide an easier activity below.

Easier Activity:

Today we will be looking at toys in the past. Look through the slides about family favourite toys in the past. The slides are saved at the bottom of this page.

Click on the links below to look at videos showing toys in the past.

The toy timeline on the slides shows how old some of the toys are. Today I would like you to draw three toys that were played with in the past. You could ask your adults at home what their favourite toys were. Can you write what each toy is and what it is made from?

For example: This is an old doll. She is made out of china.
