Literacy

Today our grammar focus will be using capital letters.  We use capital letters at the beginning of a sentence and for proper nouns (names of people and places).  Complete the capital letters activities on the English workout sheet in the resources below.  You don't need to print the sheet - just complete the activities in your home learning book.

Handwriting

Use the joins you practised yesterday to write some words containing them.

For example: look, coat, was, work, sock, dog, cod, van, vole

Science

We are still thinking about our 'Plants' topic.  Collect some leaves and do some leaf rubbings or printing with leaves.  You will need:

  • some crayons and paper for leaf rubbings
  • some paper, paints and a paintbrushes for leaf printing

Open the How to look after a dinosaur egg activity below.  Read the text and then answer the questions by finding the answers in the text.  You don't need to write anything, just talk about the answers with an adult or someone older than you.
