Wednesday 20th May

Have a go at this week's challenge from Mr Fraser:

Today's grammar focus is recognising and using homophones. Homophones are words that sound the same but have different meanings. They also have different spellings.

We would like you to use the BBC Bitesize website using the following link for today's lesson:

The website has short videos and activities to complete to help you understand homophones. There are lots of other lessons on the website, so perhaps you could have an explore over half term (next week).

Log into Active Learn using your Bug Club log in details.  You have all been allocated a spelling game called Exception words.  Listen to the Time Hopper, watch the video and then try the activities.

Let's start today with a Super Movers video!  Click on the link and join in with Bridget the Lioness as she practises the 2 times table:

Lesson 3: The 2 times table

Today there is one video to watch and three activities to complete in your home learning book.

Since you have proved to be wonderful poets yourselves, today we would like you to have a go at the poetry comprehension in the resources below.  Read the text and then answer the questions in your home learning book.
