After School Activities

Maybury has a number of free after-school activities offering enrichment opportunities for all our children.  Parents and carers can sign their children up for an after-school activity at the start of each term.   Activities may vary each term but are likely to include sports activities, creative activities, cooking and outdoor exploration.

We also offer  'After School' activities offered by an outside provider.  These are provided at no extra cost to parents.

This term at Maybury, we are offering the following 'After-School Activities.'

EYFS and KS1 Club

EYFS and KS1 Club runs on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school.  Each week we offer a different enrichment activity.  This term some activities include...

Construction – making marble runs

Cooking/Baking - painting pictures (with coloured milk) on bread and toasting

Outdoor Team Activities team-building- parachute games

Sports and Games (weather permitting, primarily outdoors)- playground games-What’s the time, Mr Wolf etc

Arts and Crafts - snowflake cutting

KS2 Club

KS2 Club runs on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school.  Each week we offer a different enrichment activity.  This term, some activities include...

Computing - programming Lego - LegoWeDo

Cooking/Baking - painting pictures (with coloured milk) on bread and toasting

Outdoor Team Activities team-building- giant Jenga, table tennis, climbing wall, circuits

Arts and Crafts – jewellery making, making binka coasters and bookmarks

Creative Club run by Christ Church in Woking

Creative Club runs on a Tuesday.  The children take part in new craft activities each week.

Sports Club run by BDB School

This club runs on a Wednesday.  The children get to experience a number of different sports, such as, gymnastics, tennis, netball and cricket to name a few.

Football run by Premier Education

This year, our football club is invite-only.  Over the course of the year, we hope most children will have had an opportunity to access this club.  We run our football club in this way to encourage participation from everyone.   This club runs on a Monday and a Friday.

Lunchtime Clubs

Wellbeing club is an invite-only club and runs twice a week during the lunchtimes.

The Library Club runs on a Monday through lunchtime, where children enjoy sharing stories.

The Young Carers Club is open to all young carers in our school.  This runs on a Friday lunchtime and the children take part in a variety of enrichment activities.

Also, on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday there is the 'Lunchtime Sporty' club. This is open to all.  It is run by Premier Education.
