PE lessons

This half term, we are learning about cricket where we will learn how to use a bat with a ball, score points and field. We are also learning about health-related exercise which is important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Year 5 will also be going swimming this half term with the aim of being able to swim 25m unaided by the end of the half term.

What's happening in Maybury Sport and PE?

  • KS1 football club
  • KS2 gymnastics club
  • Physifun sessions run twice a week
  • Some Year 6 children attended the WASPS Spring Festival at Royal Holloway University. We got to practise netball, basketball, cheerleading, football and rugby.
  • We have had fencing workshops for years 1-6 which the children really enjoyed. They got to wear the vests and masks and practice using the foil to score points.
