In year 6 the children receive daily homework from their CGP books. This is to help get them ready for secondary school and help them to gain independence by remembering to complete it and bring it in themselves.

I have included a copy of the timetable below. Homework is to be completed and returned the next day to be marked together, this allows the children to identify their mistakes and discuss them with me if needed.

The daily expectation for year 6 children is:

Spellings: 5 - 10 minutes a day

Reading: 10 - 20 minutes a day

Times Tables: 10 minutes a day, these will be tested regularly.

 

CGP books: Marked each morning!

Monday- Grammar

Tuesday- Maths

Wednesday- Punctuation

Thursday- Maths

Friday- Comprehension or a handout from the literacy box and handwriting
